HANOI, Vietnam: The Vietnamese government is considering building a high-speed railway, with a possible cost of up to $58.7 billion, which will cover the length of the country.

In a news release, the company said that next month, Vietnam's transport ministry would submit a proposal to build the 960 mile railway to the Politburo, the decision-making body of the country's ruling Communist Party of Vietnam.

A regional manufacturing hub, the southeast Asian country is investing more in its transport infrastructure to support its fast-growing economy.

The government said the railway's first two sections, with a combined length of 413 miles and total investment of $24.72 billion, would open by 2032, and the entire project will be completed
by 2045 to 2050.
